Hardwood, heartwood tends to be a golden to dark reddish brown colour. Colour tends to darken with age. Glues and finishes well. Sapele is moderately durable.

Working Properties: | Works well with hand and machine tools, nails, screws and glues well. Properties care required when staining but provides excellent polished finish. |
